Fine quality mahogany desk by the top London firm of Edwards and Roberts. Richly inlaid with marquetry panels and satinwood bandings into a 'fiddle back' mahogany ground. Green leather insert. The working locks, by Cope and Collinson, come with a key. Lovely faded colour. In very good restored condition. Late nineteenth century. The writing height is 74cm, the kneehole height is 61cm.
