George II mahogany combined dressing and secretaire chest of drawers. The top drawer is fitted with compartments and divisions. There is a pull up central mirror and a writing slide lined with green baize. To the right hand side of the dressing drawer is a small ink drawer which would also hold sand and quills (ink stains visible). For a similar example of this kind of dressing drawer see Susan Stuart's, 'Gillows of Lancashire and London'. Fluted quarter columns over ogee bracket feet. Later brass handles but of suitable design and quality. In very good restored condition. Circa 1750.
