Very good quality mahogany extending dining table. Four original leaves giving a maximum length of 13' 3" with various lengths achievable according to the number of leaves used. Original castors stamped 'COPE PATENT'. Made as a pull-out dining table around 1835, it was converted, sometime later in the nineteenth century, to a wind-out table by the addition of a double screw mechanism. Restored and repolished to a high standard. Would seat 14 to 16. Circa 1835.
